Canajoharie athletic director appointed conference president

Canajoharie Athletic Director Brian Dunn has been appointed the president of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC).

Mr. Dunn has been the Canajoharie athletic director since September 2014 when Canajoharie and Mayfield agreed to establish a shared athletic director position for the two districts. That partnership continues today.

In addition to his duties in Canajoharie and Mayfield, as WAC president Mr. Dunn will lead a 13 school conference in classes C and D covering a four county area including Montgomery, Fulton, Schoharie and Saratoga counties.

Mr. Dunn has experience teaching both elementary and secondary physical education and has coached basketball at the high school and college levels. For two years prior to coming to Canajoharie, Mr. Dunn worked in the business field as a sales manager for a Whitesboro-based athletic scoreboard manufacturer.

Mr. Dunn is a graduate of Ball State University where he earned a bachelor’s in physical education. He earned a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Olivet Nazarene University.
