Dear Parents, Teachers, Staff Members, and Community Members,
The Canajoharie Central School District, with your support, provides an excellent academic program and first rate facilities for your students. But there is more to a great school than curriculum and buildings, we need your involvement in the PTA.
The PTA invests many thousands of dollars in enrichment grants and special projects for your students. Every child from K to 12 benefits from the work and funds PTA provides. These included donations for the Reflections Art Program, Post-Prom party, music department trip, cafeteria mural, yearbooks, Writer's Conference, guest lecturers, recycle regatta, kindergarten t-shirts for graduation, and fifth-grade breakfast. The PTA raises funds by hosting a School Picture Day; Book Fair during Open House; clipping Box Tops for Education and using money earned from our triennial fund-raising sale.
Membership in the Canajoharie Central School Parent Teacher Association is only $5.00. This money allows us to join the National PTA and receive their support and training. The National PTA raised their membership by 50 cents, but we will keep our membership at $5.00.
We hope you will support us by contributing membership funds today. If you are able, please consider giving your time to the PTA during this coming school year. Many hands make light work, and among friends it doesn't seem like work at all.
PTA meeting dates are listed on the school web site www.canajoharieschools.org and on the school calendar. The meetings are at 6:30 p.m. in the Elementary Library, unless otherwise noted. Thank you for supporting us in this endeavor. Just complete one of the attached individual membership forms and send it back to school with your dues of $5.00. (Checks made out to Canajoharie PTA.) Consider giving one of the other forms to someone you know who would also like to support the PTA.
Sincerely,
Kellie LaCoppola, Membership Chairperson
