12:30-6:45 on Sunday, September 23. The newly completed
expansion of the former Canajoharie Library and Art Gallery
will house one the regions most expansive collections of
art.

The Canajoharie—Fort Plain Drama Club performed Andrew Lloyd
Webber’s innovative, imaginative musical Cats August 2-4 at the Arkell Performing Arts Center. The show, based on T. S.
Elliot’s "Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats", originally
opened on Broadway in 1982.
Rich in music
and dance, the performance tells the tale of the Jellicle cats
as they celebrate life's joys and struggles with its many
challenges.-

York State Council of School Superintendents (NYCOSS)
recently presented Canajoharie superintendent Richard Rose
with an award recognizing the district as the best in New

Arkell
Performing Arts Center located in the Canajoharie High
School is home to the school's outstanding drama and music
programs. It also is the site for the Canajoharie/Fort Plain
Drama Club's summer performances as well as other community
events.
