Kindergarten screening and registration June 7-8
The district will be conducting kindergarten
screening and registration on Friday, June 7, and Saturday, June 8,
in the library at East Hill Elementary School for children entering
Kindergarten in September.New York State Education Law requires
schools to screen every child entering Kindergarten in order to
identify conditions which may effect
his/her education. For a child to enter Kindergarten in September
2013, he or she must be at least five years old on or before
December 1, 2013. Parents must bring to screening the child’s birth
certificate, an immunization record signed by a doctor, proof of
residency and completed entrance forms. Parents of eligible students
are requested to contact Sherri Hodge at the East Hill Elementary
School at 673-6310 to schedule an appointment.
Pre-K registration starts May 20
Registration packets for Pre-K will be available
May 20-31, at the East Hill Elementary office from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30
p.m. For a child to enter Pre-K in September 2013, he or she must be
a district resident, and at
least four years of age on or before Dec. 1, 2013. Parents must
bring the child's birth certificate, an immunization record signed
by a doctor, and proof of residency. All students eligible to
participate will be served in a Pre-K program. If you have any
