Students entering Grade 9

Local Diploma by scoring between 55 and 64 on any of the
five exams required for the Regents Diploma. |

Students entering Grade 9 in
September 2008 and thereafter must receive a 65 or
higher on all five Regents exams outlined above. No
Local Diploma is available for these students |

Students under the jurisdiction of the Committee on
Special Education may be granted access to the "Safety
Net", allowing them to take Regents Competency Tests in
the required exam areas to meet the requirements for a
Local Diploma. Such students must attempt all five
Regents exams on at least one occasion. |
