Move
over "America's Next Top Model"—meet the Class of 2009!
The high school atrium was filled with beauty
and sophistication as the Class of 2009 presented the 2008 Prom
Fashion Show on Sunday, March 9.
With prom season right around the corner (the
2008 CHS Prom is June 7), this was a great opportunity for
students and their families to take a peek at the latest
fashions. Master of Ceremonies John Baird introduced the models
and their clothing.
And the day wasn't just about clothes. The young
ladies sported hair styles by Gina's Mane Attraction, Kelly's
Korner Kuts, Rochelle Monk, and Kristin Hyney. Sandra Douglass
and Vicki Meyers of Mary Kay did make-up.
At intermission between the casual wear and prom
wear, the Junior Class served refreshments. Several local
vendors had prom-related displays in the cafeteria. The vendors
each donated any item the a Chinese raffle.
The Class of 2008 women models included Jessica
Green, Christine Johnson,
Bethany Young, Clara Smith, Cassie Christman, Chelsey Mitchell,
Melanie DeLong, Christine Ward, Amber Dillenbeck, Ashley Meade,
Trista Ferrara, Nikia Lippman, Kelsey Bowerman, and Ashley
Broady. Young Taylor Schroeder modeled children's outfits. Male
escorts were Ethan Stortecky, Rob Meacham, and Andy Cole. They
were joined by seniors Chris Aldi and Jason Hill.
Proceeds for the event will fund Class of 2009
activities such as the 2008 and 2009 proms and the Senior Trip.
