 Nature
& art combine for magnificent photography
Middle school art teacher Michelle Egelston gave her students a
free hand as they headed outdoors to create their own works of
art using natural media and a digital camera. The exercise was
part of a study of Andy Goldsworthy, a British sculptor who
commonly uses his hands, teeth, and found tools to to prepare
and arrange materials like twigs, thorns, stone, mud, snow,
icicles, brightly colored flowers, pinecones, and leaves into
unique site specific works. Here's an example our our students'
creative works.
