All seven of the Canajoharie Central School District’s fall varsity athletic teams were recognized as Scholar-Athlete teams by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) last week.
To earn the distinction, 75 percent of a team’s roster must have an overall grade-point average of 90 or better.
“Thank you to all our student athletes, coaches, teachers and staff who all played a big role in this tremendous accomplishment,” said Canajoharie Athletic Director Brian Dunn.
The first quarter grade-point averages of the Canajoharie teams are:
- Boys Cross Country – 95.11
- Girls Cross Country – 94.79
- Girls Soccer – 93.88
- Boys Soccer – 93.64
- Girls Volleyball – 92.59
- Football – 91.82
- Golf – 90.45
