Canajoharie High School senior Vanessa Van Slyke signed a letter of intent on Thursday, Jan. 13, to play soccer at Hilbert College starting in fall 2022.
Van Slyke, the daughter of Neal and Lorraine Van Slyke, has signed on to play soccer at Hilbert College in Hamburg, NY. The college’s soccer team is a competitive NCAA Division III program. Van Slyke will major in Forensic Science on a five-year track for both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
Van Slyke said her most notable athletic awards and accomplishments while at Canajoharie have been being named Second-Team All-Star in both 2019 and 2021 (There was no 2020 season due to COVID-19) and winning the Coach’s Award in 2021.
