Child Safety Seat Consultation
October 2nd, 2019
East Hill Drive in Canajoharie
2:00 PM to 3:30 PM
Canajoharie CSD is planning a child safety seat consultation October 2nd from 2 PM to 3:30 PM.
Our goal is to spread awareness about how many seats are installed incorrectly and make some of our rides a little safer. We also want people to know there are some avenues for new seats if theirs are either expired or worn if income is an issue.
Parents are invited to stop on East Hill Drive and speak to a technician. A very important point we need to make is a one-on-one training is necessary to ensure everything is right. We won’t be able to do that during this event as we have many things to look for. Our biggest problem as technicians is getting people to understand that their seat is not right.
We’d love to see people stop by! We have a little training session and we can make an appointment to meet for the full training that usually takes 30 minutes.
To make an appointment with Officer Peruzzi to get one-on-one personal instruction, email Jason.firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a time.
Hard Facts about Safety in Cars
- Road injuries are the leading cause of preventable deaths and injuries to children in the United States.
- Correctly used child safety seats can reduce the risk of death by as much as 71 percent.
- More than half of car seats are not used or installed correctly.
The best way to keep your child safe in the car is to use the right car seat in the right way.
