WHAT OPPORTUNITIES ARE AVAILABLE?
Volunteers will have the opportunity to engage with students PreK-12. Here are a few examples:
- Listening to children read
- Arts and crafts
- Revolutionary War banquet
- Assisting at special events
- Working with students in reading/writing/math/phonics review
DO YOU HAVE SPECIAL SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE TO SHARE WITH US?
Please share your unique skills and expertise with us when you enquire about volunteering. We are always looking for new ways for volunteers to join us!
WHAT IS THE TIME COMMITMENT?
Volunteers typically spend 1-2 hours a week with us.
It is important to have excellent attendance. Both teachers and students look forward to your visit and depend on your consistency!

- Complete the written application
- The district will do a background check
WHAT ARE THE DISTRICT’S RESPONSIBILITIES?
The district will match a volunteer with a teacher and classroom, set up a schedule for volunteer time, provide an orientation and training opportunities, as well as opportunities for feedback.
