Speech and Language Services

For students receiving speech and language services:
For speech and language practice you can work on the following as you go through your teacher assigned lessons while we are out of school.
  • Practice reading aloud for 3 to 5 minutes a day self-monitoring and correctly pronouncing words with your speech sounds.
  • Practice asking and answering questions about your reading or in conversation incomplete, correct sentences with correct pronunciation.
  • Keep a journal of new or hard to say words or words that have speech sounds that you are practicing; practice saying these words and make/repeat sentences with these while we are out of school.
  • Play one game a day such as Go Fish, memory, I have who has, Head Bandz, Guess Who?, a board game, I spy ……, Bingo, any card game and/or have a short conversation with your child/children reinforcing good, clear and correct speech and sentences.

Please e-mail me at catarina.rapp@canjo.org if you have any questions or would like more specific information with regard to your child.

Stay healthy and safe!
