On Friday, November 9th, fifth-graders at East Hill Elementary in collaboration with Palatine Literary Society, hosted a breakfast for Veterans.
The fifth-grade chorus performed two musical pieces for the veterans before breakfast was served.
During the breakfast, fourth-graders handed out homemade cards to each veteran while second and third graders lined up around the cafeteria to show their appreciation with claps and cheers while the veterans left.
“We are delighted that our students had the opportunity to visit with and thank Veterans for their service to our country. This event was a wonderful collaboration among the school, the Palatine Literary Society and other community agencies,” said East Hill Elementary Principal, Stacy Ward.
