Student athlete signs letter of intent to play basketball at SUNY Oswego

Canajoharie High School senior Luke Van Slyke signed a letter of intent on Tuesday, April 30 to play basketball at SUNY Oswego this fall. Van Slyke’s achievements and talents on the court granted him a spot in the 1,000 points club.

Van Slyke, the son of Neal and Lorraine Van Slyke, will accept a scholarship to play basketball at SUNY Oswego. The college’s basketball team is a competitive NCAA Division III program. Van Slyke will major in Adolescence ED-Mathematics.

Van Slyke’s most memorable experience at Canajoharie was becoming a 1,000 point scorer.

Van Slyke’s most influential person is his father, Neal.

“Without him, I would not have the love and the passion that I have for the game today.”
