Student athlete signs letter of intent to play football at Utica College

Canajoharie High School senior Brandon Wolfkiel signed a letter of intent on Friday, February 1 to play football at Utica College this fall. Wolfkiel’s achievements and talents on the field granted him the Greg Dutcher Award for Most Influential Lineman.

Wolfkiel, the son of Patrick and Nickole Wolfkeil, will accept a scholarship to play football at Utica College. The college’s football team is a competitive NCAA Division III program. Wolfkiel will major in the college’s sports management program.

Wolfkiel’s most memorable experience at Canajoharie was defeating Whitehall during the homecoming game with a score of 32-0.
When asked who Wolfkeil’s most influential person is, “Coach Hyney. He always had my back through thick and thin,” said Wolfkiel. “He always pushed me to do my best and never to take a playoff.”
