As we welcome back students for the second half of the year we are excited to start swimming classes during Physical Education in East Hill! This year, swimming will look a little different. Here are some adjustments to the regular routines that we have made to make sure swimming is a safe and fun experience for everyone!
General Guidelines:
- PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN SUIT AND TOWEL, THIS IS MAKE SURE STAFF ARE NOT HANDLING SUITS AND TOWELS THAT HAVE BEEN USED
- Masks are worn at all times EXCEPT for when students are in the water (social distancing will be used while in the water)
- Benches in pool area and locker rooms will be disinfected between every class
- Social distancing of 6 feet or more will be used AT ALL TIMES
- Hands will be washed or sanitized before and after class
- Extra masks and sanitizer will be provided if students need to use them
Locker Rooms:
- There will be NO use of the lockers, each student will have their own space to change and place their personal belongings
- Distancing markers are placed on the benches for students to keep 6 feet of space
- Students will not use the showers
Pool Area:
- Students will sit on a marker on the bleachers in the beginning of class
- This marker will also be used for students to keep their mask when they are in the water
- The sides of the pool have marks every 6 feet as a reference for students on the deck or in the water of their distancing
- Students will be asked to move into the water and locker rooms in small groups to avoid crowding
