Two students from the wrestling team will compete in the NYS Journeymen Wrestling Championships in Pennsylvania on April 2.
Junior Cody Haig will be wrestling at 126 pounds, and junior Reed Douglass at 170 pounds.
The two will compete against some of the top wrestlers in the state. Haig was a Class D Sectional Champion in 2020 and also took sixth place at the state qualifiers.
Douglass placed third in the Class D competition and fourth at the state qualifiers. Haig has amassed 75 career wins and Douglass has netted 43.
The Canajoharie Athletic Department would like to wish both of them luck in the tournament.
