**Updates to important dates**
Backyard barbeques. Popsicle-stained grins. Sprinklers and pool fun. Whatever your family’s summertime pleasure, I hope you all had an amazing, memorable summer.
What’s next as we head into fall? The start of school, of course. Teachers and staff members have been working hard to prepare for the 2020 – 2021 school year, and we can’t wait to welcome you! East Hill Elementary School is a happy, supportive place to learn and thrive. Students are expected to do their best every day by coming to school prepared to learn, whether that is in-person or remote.
This is my 10th year as a Principal and I am excited about the new faces of both students and teachers. We will be welcoming a few new members to our staff this year. I cannot wait for you to meet them!
Heading into the new school year, we continue to have high expectations for incoming kindergarteners and all of our students. We encourage parents to get involved with school by attending PTA meetings and various events during the school year.
Once again, PTA will be providing all of the school supplies to students in grades PreK to fifth grade.

Room assignments and remote learning information will be forthcoming.
Please check out our website and Facebook page for informational videos regarding social distancing, and other COVID related topics. We also encourage parents to begin practicing the use of masks for students during the day. This will help students when returning to school and wearing a mask throughout the day.
As a reminder, school safety is very important and there is a single point of entry. All visitors must enter through the main entrance and sign in.
Remember our monthly newsletter is available on our school website https://www.canajoharieschools.org. Our website is kept up to date with newsletters and announcements.
